In this stage , cell division continue in the morula(16-celled stage solid sphere) and the blastomers(daughter cells) become arranged along the periphery leaving a central cavity and the embyo at this stage is called blastocyst.

Blastocyst Transfer is a type of embryo transfer procedure used during IVF. During this type of transfer, a Blastocyst embryo is a D5-6 embryo which is placed inside of the uterus where it will hopefully implant and develop into a fetus. It is now becoming a popular alternative to Day 3 embryo transfer and has number of advantages over it such as natural option, higher success rates and a fewer embryos required. However not all women can have embryos at Blastocyst stage.
